What if we told you there is a room in your house where surface temperatures regularly reach well over 100 degrees? A room with open flames where disaster could strike at any time if you don’t exercise the proper caution? Who would have thought the kitchen could be so dangerous?
When experienced a flood, fire, or other disaster, it is hard to deal with the chaos and overwhelming emotion of putting everything back in its place, let alone think about all of the unseen dangers, like the hazard of asbestos. Luckily, American Restoration has just the man to reinstate order in your home or work place.
American Restoration is a proud holder of a Cleaning and Restoration Certification issued by the Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification organization, an international non-profit advancing and controlling the standards of inspection, cleaning, and restoration.
In Remembrance: September 11th
Today American Restoration marks and remembers the thirteenth anniversary of the attacks of September 11th.
The events of September 11th live on in our individual memories as events that challenged our national security, as well as confirmed our national courage and resilience.
On Wednesday, July 23rd Algodones, New Mexico was hit with heavy rains, damaging winds, and flash flooding. Over an inch an hour. Torrential local rain and heavy rains to the north caused the water to move into irrigation ditches, and the flooding began.
How do you know if your home, office, basement or other structure has mold and if it’s serious enough that it needs to be removed, a process known as “remediation”?
In New Mexico, we don’t have nearly the amount of rainfall and humid climate that is known to set the stage for mold growth. But since our moisture tends to fall in our monsoon season during the summer, that moisture often catches property owners off guard.
Your home represents security and piece of mind. We get that — we are in this business because care about you, your family, and your home. At the time of an incident, American Restoration, Water and Fire, LLC takes the time to go over all the information to help you put your life back together.
It’s important to understand the differences between a thunderstorm watch, thunderstorm warning, flash flood watch, and a flash flood warning. A thunderstorm watch means that conditions are favorable for a thunderstorm. You should be mindful of your surroundings and listen to weather reports.
The staff at American Restoration Water and Fire, LLC would like to congratulate our employee, Riley Spill for achieving his certification in Water Damage from the Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification. The IICRC is a non-profit organization that sets the standard for the inspection, cleaning, and restoration industries. The IICRC serves 25 countries throughout the world.
Disasters: Are you in denial?
Unfortunately, natural and man-made disasters strike every day. Our staff attended a meeting of the Albuquerque Office of Emergency Management and found some useful safety information that we would like to pass along to you and your business.
First-- some alarming data for small business owners! According to the Small Business Administration, at least 25% of businesses impacted by a disaster do not reopen. Additionally, more than 60% of businesses affected by a man-made or natural disaster close within two years. Staggering statistics!
So, what should you be doing?
